World's Strongest Hurricane Shutter Now Installed in MS

Okay....we are back at home in Atlanta after a very successful trip to MS to install the world's strongest (?) hurricane shutter on our rental home in Long Beach, MS. We call these hurricane shutters wave shutters. Wave shutters are hurricane shutters on steroids. They can survive hurricane winds easily. They can survive tornado winds easily. And they can even survive the worst condition of all....a wave of water striking the window.

Please have a look at the pictures. The shutters are easy to operate. In the event of an approaching storm loosen the nuts on the hold down strap, close the shutters against the center cross bar, and add six (6) nuts to secure the shutters to the bar. It takes about 5 minutes to do this even if you haven't practiced.

Please see the photos....we would love to have some feedback about the looks and function.

Do you think there is a market for these. We plan to introduce them at $2,795 per window. We believe they are only needed on the side of the home facing the water. They would protect the home from washout during a hurricane thereby protecting much of the contents and interior features of the home....isn't it worth a few thousand dollars for this?

Please post to this blog.

  1. Hurricane shutters are the most important protection for your home. There are several different hurricane window shutter styles available and it's a good idea to check out the varieties and purchase them well in advance to ensure safety during stormy weather. Thanks a lot.
